Sal Iaquinto
Delegate Sal Iaquinto was elected to serve the 84th District of Virginia in the General Assembly on November 8, 2005. The district encompasses a large section of eastern Virginia Beach, from Chesopeian Colony in the north to Courthouse Estates on the south.

Delegate Iaquinto was first elected in 2005 and has been appointed by the Speaker of the House to three important committees: Courts of Justice, General Laws, and Counties, Cities and Towns, and is now the Chairman of the FOIA and Government Procurement Subcommittee of General Laws. His work on these committees and the bills that he introduces reflect his interest in protecting the public from dangerous criminals, strengthening private property rights in the Commonwealth, and safeguarding our tax dollars for future transportation projects and other core government services.

Although this is his first elected office, Delegate Iaquinto is no stranger to public service and to the 84th District. As the top aide for the district's former representative and now Virginia's Governor, Bob McDonnell, Sal worked both in the General Assembly and with constituents in the district office. During this time, he gained invaluable experience both in legislating and in providing the high level of service that residents deserve.

Iaquinto FamilyAfter graduating from Regent Law School, Sal Iaquinto served as an Assistant Attorney General heading up the Hampton Roads office, where he focused on consumer fraud issues and provided needed public education through forums and workshops.

Because he understands the importance of community service, Sal Iaquinto has a history of leadership in our city and Commonwealth. As a former member of the Virginia Beach Public Library Board, Sal worked with local leaders to establish the Princess Anne Library. He also served as Vice-chairman of the Charitable Gaming Commission where he worked to make sure that charities across Virginia received the funds to which they were entitled. Sal Iaquinto also served as the President of the Parkside Green Homeowner's Association and the Hunt Club Forest Civic League.

Sal and his wife, Stephanie, live in Pine Ridge with their sons, Nicholas, Alex, and Jonathan. Sal and his family are active members of Wave Church in Virginia Beach.
